Back in the office

Okay, so I'm back in the office after an incredible weekend at camp. It's a little hard to be confined to this smelly little 'aquarium' (if you've seen the office you know that's an apt description) after running around acres & acres of Qwanoes, but I'm certainly managing with all of my colour-coding and numbering tasks, and hopefully i'll make it through the next few days.

Did I just say next few days? Oh yes, yes I did. One weekend at camp, five days in the aquarium, and then another weekend at camp. PTL! (that's for you, Kiks!) I think I'm about ten days away from officially moving to camp for the rest of the summer and I couldn't be more excited. Oh wait, I feel as though I've typed that ten times before.

This past weekend at camp was incredible. Because it was the Counselor Training Seminar weekend, I was able to meet a bunch of the new counselors for the summer. I was shocked when Sheridan, one of my youth campers from 2003, showed up for the weekend. Apparently I'm getting old because she's going to be a Sr.counselor this summer. I'm excited to be able to work alongside her. I can only imagine how much fun it'll be in her cabin this summer. In our youth camp cabin life was a gong show. I remember olives being shot out of noses, pooping off the dock, cheering & dancing, and winning amazing cabin clean-up awards (the skyscraper on concert night - the best reward ever). Aside from seeing Sheridan, I was able to visit the fantastic Mister Lee, and meet my counterpart for the summer, Andrew. What can I say? I am so thankful that I'll be hanging out at camp all summer long with a group of hard-working, dedicated, faithful and entertaining people. After praying, reading, and listening this past weekend, I know that there is so much in store for everyone who steps foot in that camp this summer and I can't help but anticipate the day when I get to move in. Plus, if this past weekend is any indication, there will be many days filled with great games like Buck-buck and Wink. How could I miss that? After all, I have mad tackling skills!

Here's a few pics from the weekend:

so i am happy that you credit me with PTL (and i, in turn will credit Momma Paterson, because thats where it originally originated). see, i have been listening to myself lately and i definitely sound like Jenn Salt- i often think to myself "hey whoa! Jenn salt much?"- only to interrupt myself when my "inner Lou" cries for attention- "hey! i'm here too, and i'm important too and most of all- you're leaving me you big jerk!" "No Rach, i will carry you in my heart all summer..." anyways, its nice to know that i also influence others as have been influenced.
also, hey- lets give credit where credit is due. I think my photos on your msnslashblog need to put a registered trademark on them.
there you go, i practically posted a post in return for your post.
