a day with Jay and Lou

today was a wonderful day with Jay and Lou. after an evening of late-night tim horton's, i awoke early this morning to shower and pick-up the lovely miss Jessi (here after referred to as Jay). we headed out to Petra's for muffins and coffee which we figured would be the ultimate solution to our poor tired and puffy eyes. the eyes certainly perked up a bit with the caffeine, but the brains were slow to follow.

soon after we gallivanted around the church looking for various senior high workers. unfortunately on a monday there really aren't any in the office. oh well... let's just hope that all works out and senior highs are excited to come to this friday's semi-formal (fri @ 6:30 at SDBC).

our assigned task for the day was reminiscent of the show "Clean Sweep". Jay and I tackled the kitchen, family room, dining room, living room and spare bedroom of her dad's house. there were piles and boxes everywhere. wow. i didnt know that a single man could collect so much stuff (and gross greasy dust - yuck). it is, however, always good fun sorting through piles of other peoples stuff - who knows what you'll find! before we were able to tackle the piles & piles of stuff we had to go dumpster diving! we desperately needed cardboard boxes in which to put the piles & piles of stuff, so we drove around ttown searching for cardboard dumpsters. thankfully, the tsawwassen town centre mall parking lot left their dumpster wide open and Jay jumped right in. for a few minutes we thought that an old lady was going to provide some competition, but at the last moment she parked her buggy beside the dumpster and hobbled off towards thrifty's. phew!

after cleaning came dinner at a lovely little junior high leaders meeting. doreen cooked up some great greek dishes, and we all huddled around a coffee table eating greek food and discussing youth (until the chocolate covered strawberries were put on the table - i dove into those!). unfortunately, cats and i do not agree, so no longer than 5 minutes into the meeting i was having trouble breathing and sneezing a whole bunch - yay! that's okay, the same thing happened to Rachel (here after referred to as Lou) as soon as she arrived. next time i suggest hosting the meeting in a cat-free environment - go, go gadget allergies!

then came the movie & tim hortons, with a little bit of olympic figure skating mixed in. we watched 'in her shoes' at Lou's house while munching on donuts and drinking french vanilla coffee. it was a good time - i quite enjoyed it. i was able to cuddle with Lou earlier during the JH meeting and during the movie i cuddled with Jay. good times, good times. i heart the cuddling!

so that was my day - nice and chill. tomorrow i am working again at the gym (i've got a lovely little competition to plan for the interclub kids - oh yay!) which i'm hoping will be good. all bets are it wont be as chill, but let's hope it's at least enjoyable.

love ya lots,
jenn

p.s. the email of death turned out to be pretty decent. my mpt & mot applications are complete and now i'm waiting to hear about interviews. yay - glad that worked out!

Jenn!
Could you give me the details of this semi-formal thing?
i'm thinking I might come and see everyone for a night, get in touch. I know it's at 6:30, and I know it costs $15 (Natasha's getting a ticket 4 me). But that's all I know. How formal is semi-formal? Cause I have absolutely nothing, and It might hurt to wear some things, considering I had surgery. Anyways, could you possibly e-mail me with the details? dance_star69@hotmail.com. Thanks! And see you on Friday!
